Helping Tritech International to Keep Innovating

September 2020

The team at Claro have been working with Tritech International for over 10 years and during this time have completed a range of projects.  As a leading innovator it is important for TriTech to stay ahead of the industry from both a manufacturing and design POV.  Read below on the recent successes on the latest projects with Claro.

Alastair Mitchell, Supply Chain Director at Tritech comments,
“We have been particularly pleased with the sonar housings we recently transferred to Claro. I think here we are reaping the benefits of your continued investments in your people and equipment (modern 5-axis machines). The price is extremely competitive but there has been no compromise on quality.”

Nakamura NTRX-300L at Claro Precision

August 2020

We recently announced the arrival of the Nakamura NTRX-300L at Claro Precision. This new turn-mill machining centre will be supplying components into a range of market sectors including; aerospace, medical, automotive, marine and oil & gas, enabling us to expand our production options for our customers.

Ultimately it will provide greater flexibility, repeatability and higher levels of production efficiency by reducing the number of setups between different machining centres. Here’s a little bit more information about the NTRX-300L supplied by the Engineering Technology Group (ETG):

Equipped with the best options for longer part machining, both spindles are 5 axis capable as well as positional 3+2, giving us the ability to machine features at almost any angle.  This gives us and our customers completely new machining options. The ‘Smart-X’ is used as a control for the NTRX-300L which impresses not only with optimal graphic visuals of important machine functions but also offers significant ease of use.

Customer Testimonial – Blueprint Subsea

‘Having worked with Claro over the course of multiple projects, when Blueprint Subsea identified a new product development requirement, involving Claro at the early concept stage was a logical decision.

The project required the creation of multiple components, most with complex geometry requiring extensive surface machining, and many created from materials that were unfamiliar to both companies at the time.

By working closely with Claro’s Design & Production Staff, based on feedback from initial prototype manufacture we were able to incorporate slight modifications to improve machinability and reduce costs moving in to the production phase, all with the confidence in Claro’s ability to design and manufacture the required jigs & fixtures to produce the components consistently to extremely tight tolerances and challenging surface finishes.

This latest project encapsulates Claro’s attitude and willingness to contribute from early development through to full production and consistently challenge the perceived limitations of machining capability.’
